The carriers of the “new superstition” are to blame for the record world measles epidemic
According to Alla Potapenko, an epidemiologist at the zonal hygiene and epidemiology center, Bobruichan said that eight people got measles in the team with which he worked in the Russian capital, and later he noticed the corresponding symptoms.
Arriving in Bobruisk, the man immediately went to the clinic. Later, measles was confirmed in his laboratory. Due to the fact that he did not call an ambulance at home, the doctors monitored 140 people with whom the sick person could be in contact, including family members, doctors and patients of the medical institution, neighbors, and some received preventive vaccinations.
According to specialist information, none of the observed subsequently had measles.
